Multi-touch…it’s great, but……..

At last,my FYP is here. I was so eager for it to come, but now that I’ve started, I wished it was next trimester. Ironic right? LOLz, anyway, my FYP title is (roughly) super long. 3D Scanning & Virtualization with Wearable Gestural User Interface. This is supposed to be 2 titles but was combined, hence…the result – super long title.

Now, at last, I managed to get my MultipleMice to work, though its not what my project asked for, :p. Anyway, here’s a lil’ video on what i tried, it may look a lil sluggish, but…what you expect from a 4 years old laptop, right?

Secondly, let’s get into MMU! Wooohoooo….Guess what, MMU library is gonna go 24hours. Yeap, you heard it right, 24hours!!! Look here…

Windows live Writer….AWESOME

Guess what, I have another reason to come back to blogging again, 2 reasons actually. One is from my phone, with photo upload capability. Secondly, thank to Kyan May, I downloaded and used the Windows Live Writer and guess what, it’s AWESOME!! yeahh….AWESOME!

Reason is, first, it have capability to detect my themes, headings, formatting, and  bla bla bla….which simply means, you get to write and edit as how it should be shown in your blog, which is awesome. Yea, I know, I’ve used this awesome word for like, 4 times. You should be expecting me to say more about this as I continue, haha, cause’ I’ll be talking about Windows 7 as well, since it will be doing a consumer launch next month, which is AWESOME!

Let me first start off my Writer first. As I said, it AWESOME, because it does everything for you, what you need to do is to just install it via Windows Live Essential, and then just run the Writer application. Needless to say, everything is done  via a wizard. Automation does it work, just insert you URL of your blog, username and password, let it run a lil whole, then up you go. Start Blogging, with plug-ins like inserting tables, pictures, hyperlink, geo-tagging and many more. Though some features are already available in Blogger, I would prefer the picture insert feature here, in blogger,  which actually let you do all the editing right here in the application. Here’s an example of my pictures, uploaded from my computer, to blogger.

Ice Age 1920x1080

See, i add in the mirror effect and BW effects as well. AWESOME isn’t it?

Next, let me go to Windows 7, but should I do it right now? I have something to do right now, maybe I should just let it pass, and post it in my second post, from Writer! :p

Awesome news..to those who seldom restarts!

Its been common for people to continue using their pc/laptop for like....3days...5 days....or worse, You dun even remember when u last restarted your computer or shut it down!?!

Here's a good solution for you, though its not something like you restarting the computer, it does help alot in clearing all your memory and make it as though as you've restarted your computer, and the magic is...within 5-10 seconds.

1) RIGHT-CLICK on your DESKTOP
2) Select NEW->Shortcut
3)In the shortcut field, copy the code below and paste it there.

%windir%\system32\rundll32.exe advapi32.dll,ProcessIdleTasks

I myself have tried it, and I see no problem in this coding. Feel free to try it....

Shopaholics secret revealed!!!

We always think, why is it only galz that are labelled shopaholics? Some men try to label themselves that way too. But let me tell you this, MEN, you're a disgrace, because...........DO YOU HAVE A PERIOD????

Yes, you read it right, it seem like research told us that, women, will be more likely to make a prodigal amount of money in their shopping in the ten days before their periods begin. Read it here ---> Telegraph.co.uk

But of course, we can't blame them anyway. Ahahaha, and by the way, how was the movie? (Confession of a Shopaholic). Is it nice? Gimme some feedback so I can decide to go watch it or not. :p

Engineering Student's in danger!

What the world has became! Even handing in assignments have risks... Read this story first from NST Malaysia...

2009/03/16

Lecturer raped me, alleges student

SERDANG: A lecturer at a public university here stands accused of raping one of his charges.
The lecturer, from the engineering faculty, is said to have threatened to expel the 26-year-old student from Bandar Tasik Selatan if she told anyone about the rape. He also allegedly offered to make her his third wife.

The student lodged a report last week alleging rape and molest.

Her ordeal began at the end of last year when she was told to meet the lecturer in his office. She was supposed to hand in her assignment.

"She went to the lecturer's office and handed her assignment. She was told to wait while he browsed through the work," said a source.
"The student then told him this would be their last meeting as she had completed all her assignments. She thanked him for his help and guidance."

The lecturer then locked the door and hugged and kissed the student who tried to push him off.

He allegedly took out a sleeping bag from a cupboard, grabbed the student and pushed her onto to the floor. The victim screamed for help but was gagged.

After allegedly raping her, the lecturer warned the student not to inform anyone about the incident or he would not only smear her name but also get her expelled.

"The victim claimed that the lecturer offered to make her his third wife. But she refused despite his persistence. She was molested and raped on two other occasions," the source disclosed.

Selangor CID chief Senior Assistant Commissioner II Hasnan Hassan said police would question the lecturer when he returned from his holiday abroad.

Source from NST.com.my

Now see this, read the line where it says, "...She was molested and raped on two other occasions...". I'm still wondering whether she's willing to get raped, or she was forced!

But anyways, girls better don't hand-in your assignments alone to your lecturer and especially, its off office hour. This so-called-university lecturer seriously does contaminated all other lecturers name. In the end of the story, what is it about the knowledge you've acquired? Its just mere knowledge!! What you really need is wisdom. *sigh*

Weekend's arrived, *knock knock*

DSP's over! I'm so happy! Whatever is done, is done~ nothing's gonna change. So....I'm not gonna think about it. It seems like from this paper, I got a lil' more diligent, not as procrastinator as I used to be last time. I did take time to study, take time to wake up in the middle of the night, or morning, or...whatever. It's a good start...Give an applause to yaself. *Clap clap clap*.

Anyway, after the midterm was Eddy's birthday celebration in OldTown Cyberjaya. Kinda tired already that time, and HUNGRY. Imagine eating a packet of maggi in the morning and the next meal I gonna have is in OldTown, which is like...11pm??!!?? I'm like, Super Hungry that moment, and I can't think properly, I can't speak properly, I can sit properly...That was hell, plus with the study time done from my room...to class...to library...and to exam hall. But nevertheless, I still managed to get myself to OldTown and suprisingly (or maybe its me who did not venture out to OldTown for long), I saw a few stalls, and its like a mini pasar malam there. Nothing much to talk 'bout there...*giggles*

Here comes the man of da day~

Looks boring~

David, getting shy, which is unusual~

ahhhh...he's happier now!

make a wish..

here comes the cake-cutting session~

After that, it supposed to have another round for Chee Hung, but I find myself too tired, and plus I gotta wake up like 6am the next morning, so I decided to skip it, I'm sorry CH. And Anywayz, Heappie Burfdeay Eddy & Chee Hung!

Awesome

Imagine yourself sleeping on a surgery table, got cut off, got taken off your stomach, spleen, pancreas, liver, and your precious, long small and large intestine out, placing it in a basket of ice, to preserve it, and cut of your tumor, and right after, place back your organs into your body? LOL, awesome, ain't it?

Anyway, here's the story, from TheStar--

Girl survives after six organs removed in surgery

By Christine Kearney

NEW YORK (Reuters Life!) - A seven-year-old girl was released from hospital on Tuesday after a ground-breaking 23-hour operation four weeks ago in which doctors took out six of her organs to remove a cancerous tumor in her abdomen.

Heather McNamara, from Long Island, New York, is believed to be the first child and only the second person in the world to have the surgery known as auto-transplant, her doctors said.

McNamara's pancreas, liver, spleen, stomach and small and large intestines were taken out and put in ice-cold temperatures so doctors could take out the cancerous growth.

"Her tumor had been called inoperable and surgery was thought to be impossible," Dr. Herbert Pardes, the president of New York Presbyterian Hospital told a news conference.

Lead surgeon Dr. Tomoaki Kato said the tumor was in the abdomen and pancreas and tangled with two major blood vessels. In order to remove it, a team of seven surgeons and eight clinicians removed six organs, but they were unable to replace the pancreas, spleen and stomach.

The tumor could not be treated with chemotherapy or standard surgical techniques.

"She was really sick, she had fluid in the belly," he said. "She was at risk of major bleeding."

McNamara told reporters she felt "good" and was looking forward to returning home and to "play with my dog Angel and with my sister."

Because it is impossible to survive without a stomach Kato created a pouch in her body to hold food before it moves to the small intestine.

"Medicine increasingly, despite the challenge, can provide hope for people who are facing major illnesses," said Pardes.

Kato performed the first auto-transplant operation on a Florida woman who had six organs removed and replaced last year.

Anyway, this year in NS is a lil' boring, no celebration is allowed for we have to "mourn" for 7/14 days. (I'm not sure though). But I'm not sure whether I got used to it, or I've become a lil' more simpler, (as though, hahahha), I find myself kinda satisfied to be able to go out with frens for a drink. Oh yea, before that, our church have a new theme for the year, which is called...... *drum rolls*.....
